About Dr. Stanton

Dr. Aditi Stanton, MD, MPH, is a board-certified gastroenterologist at Gastro Health in Cincinnati, Ohio. She cares for patients with inflammatory bowel disease, motility disorders, and other digestive conditions, with a special interest in colorectal cancer screening and prevention. She earned her medical degree at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati, and completed her gastroenterology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Stanton created Gut Feelings, an app that helps people track food, symptoms, sleep, and stress, spot patterns, and share them with their doctors. She has led quality improvement work in clinical practice and serves on the American College of Gastroenterology's Education Affairs Committee.

Her expertise has been featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, Parade, Martha Stewart, Everyday Health, HealthCentral, and Yahoo Health. She speaks on IBD, colorectal cancer screening, IBS and bloating, women's digestive health, and how diet shapes the gut.

Why she built the app

Clinic visits are short, and the details that explain a symptom are easy to lose: what you ate, how you slept, and when it started. Gut Feelings is a place to keep that record and bring the patterns to the appointment.
